We are looking for substitutes for various positions in the preschool with hours that vary for each position. We have substitute educator positions with hours from 7:45 to 3:15, operations assistant from 7:00 to 3:15, and extended day teachers with hours from 2:15 to 6:00. The potential days needed would be any Monday - Friday as need arises.

Responsibilities

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Provide a safe, nurturing and engaging indoor and outdoor environment for children ages two to five years
• Uphold Laurelwood’s standards of respect for our indoor and outdoor environments
• Provide open communication with Lead Teachers and Director
• Serve an afternoon snack
• Follows and performs Classroom Cleaning List and maintains Sanitation standards

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written

Desired Qualifications

• One year of full-time verifiable early childhood work experience in a licensed child care center or as a licensed family child care home operator
• Six semester hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development
• First Aid⁄CPR certified

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Upon acceptance of job offer, must be able to successfully pass criminal background check. Submission of physician-approved Medical Report and negative TB test. Random drug testing is part of ongoing employment.
