Educator Exchanges
It is Laurelwood Community Preschool’s vision, in collaboration with other early childhood professionals, to bring the values and educational principles of the schools of Reggio Emilia, Italy to programs located in the greater Charlotte area. The Reggio Emilia approach to Early Childhood Education empowers children to guide their own learning and to see themselves as competent, capable and valuable citizens of the world.
To forward this vision, we offer Educator Exchanges twice per year for individuals and small school groups who want to learn more about this approach and how they can adapt the core values of this approach to their own classroom, school and community. We also offer custom Educator Exchanges for individual schools upon request.
Our maximum enrollment is 20 guests. For individuals, the cost is $50.00. For a customized session for a group up to 20, the cost is $700.00.
